Who We Are
Liahona Preparatory Academy holds nine National Championship titles from the Utah Shakespeare Festival, eight State UHSAA Championship titles, and several regional UHSAA acting and technical theatre awards. Liahona students have been awarded acting scholarship awards from the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards.
Liahona Theatre students have performed internationally in the Philippines, and at The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland - the largest theatre festival in the world.
Our theatre program educates students in grades K-12 from all around the country, performing in 5-7 productions each school year.
In April 2022, we finally opened our brand new state-of-the-art performance venue! Liahona's 476 seat grand theater houses The Cook Center for Human Connection Stage, a 46 foot wide proscenium space with automated fly system, turn tables and lifts, and two sound-resistant cry rooms. With orchestra and balcony seating, each seat in this expansive theater is within 36 feet of the front of the stage giving a rare, but much needed, intimate feel for performances. Liahona is thrilled to be home to this one-of-a-kind theater, unlike anything else in Utah County.
